And here are pictures of the big garden. It is located on the North side of the house between the windbreak trees. However, the 50mph winds that we have had everyday this week have not been 'broken' by the windbreak trees. But, with that being said, those trees have helped allot. The little seedlings are really suffering from the heat and the dry, SW wind and even the static electricity.

The big hay bale you see off in the distance, beside the trees, will be used for mulch, after my seedlings all emerge. And I will use the drip line that is now on the trees to water just where needed. My plan is/was to mulch around all the plants to suppress the weeds and retain the much needed moisture. However, the seeds are having a really hard time emerging and I don't know where to put the emitters from the drip line until they show their cute little leaves, as in the picture above. We planted the garden 2 weeks ago, and there are huge skips and gaps where the new plants should be. Anyway, if it doesn't work this time, we will simply replant in those gaps and keep trying.

You need a good dose of rain. Look for a plow to hook onto your lawnmower or 4 wheeler.
